METROMUSTER is an independent production company that has been experimenting with art, sociology and politics since 2003.
Its goals are:
— Provide more resources to non-commercial projects.
— Take advantage of public resources for cultural productions to make good quality works that are free for everybody.
— Advocate for social change related to ways of understanding urban space, social participation and access to new technologies
— Give documentaries and non-fiction films the same status as fictional cinema.
— Contribute actively to the Free Culture Movement inspired by Laurence Lessig and Richard Stallman
Passionated sociologist and visual artist. He studied during many years in Germany and France, where he started to work as a political artist under the name of Metromuster. Back in Barcelona, he studied a Visual Effects post degree and a Masters Degree in Creative Documentary, both at Pompeu Fabra University. He has directed different reportages, documentaries and video art pieces for TVC (public catalan broadcast network) and the public spanish television (TVE). One of them —L’ultim vestit de la Julia— won a prize in the 2011 edition of DocsBarcelona. Xavier has worked as director’s assistant, production assistant and second camera unit in many shootings, together with directors like Ricardo Iscar or Mercedes Alvarez.
DANIEL BOBADILLA
Phd candidate on Sociology. Web and graphic designer.
Lover of documentaries and non-fiction formats. After studying Audiovisual Communications in Barcelona and Cuba, she graduated in Reportage for TV at IDEC/UPF. Ana started her
professional career in 2001 working for the International Documentary Festival & Pitching Forum DocsBarcelona. For 5 years she combined the work in the Forum with the production
of documentaries in co-production with TVC (Televisió de Catalunya). She was also head of production of programs by
BTV (Barcelona TV). In 2009 she moved to Madrid to focus her career in contents for documen-
taries and current affairs programs.
ENRIQUE HERNANDIS
Freelance motion graphics designer and animator. After working for various TV Networks such as laSexta and Gol T, he’s currently working as a freelancer and collaborating actively in METROMUSTER.
His skills involve 2D and 3D design and animation, being profficient with tools as Adobe Creative Suite for design and composition, Cinema 4D for 3D animation, and Final Cut for video edition. He also enjoys to experiment with any visual technique such as stop motion, video shooting and compositing and more.

Self-experimentation took him to study graphic and multimedia design at IDEP School in Barcelona. He is also a degree in sociology and political science as he is passionate about social sciences in general. He has served on several working groups, audiovisual production and graphic design. Currently he is developing works in different fields with BGrafic Studio, developing diversified products from integrated advertising campaign, through the corporate image, web and multimedia development, infography, editorial design and animation, among others.
JUAN LINARES
Visual communicator and ciberactivist. After leaving his hometown Buenos Aires, he has lived in Bologne, Köln, London and La Habana. He’s currently preparing his Phd. in Barcelona to become a social researcher on digital communication. He’s a cofounder of the political association Ateneu Roig, that organizes all kinds of cultural and arts events in Barcelona, such as Film Festivals. He has worked for many years in advertising, cinema and documentary, as a producer, editor and cameraman. He has directed short-films and documentaries such as War in Media toghether with Oscar Martínez.
